Continual Professional Development (CPD)
Unless an Architect is listed on the RIAI register, they are not permitted to use the title ‘Architect’.
You can search the register here The Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (R.I.A.I)
As an architect registered with the RIAI & RIBA, it is part of the renewal of registration criteria that 40 hours of CPD be completed annually. This is achieved by attending seminars, workshops, lectures, independent study & reading. The hours are logged, verified & Certificates of Attendance issued.
CPD is an invaluable way of keeping up to date with all Professional, Technological, Regulatory & Management developments which are constantly changing, so that we as architects can improve our skillsets to continually provide the best possible advice & service to our clients.
