Drogheda Extension

Two design options are illustrated here for a single storey  extension   to an existing  two storey  detached house. One option  illustrates an extension under 40 sq.m  the other a larger extension over 40 sq.m .

The brief was to create an open plan kitchen /dining /family space , the client was unsure how much additional space they required, so commissioned us to explore the two options to help them decide .

Common to both options were the use of materials & large glazed sliding screens , which give an illusion of space , opening onto external patio  area

A simple palette of materials  was proposed  – Copper cladding  to roof parapet  & recladding of existing house eaves , colour matched Triple Glazed , Aluclad windows , brick finish to match existing  house.
